What's the difference between
Logos and Branding Packages?
Logos are just the first part of branding: think of a logo like a visual representation of your business name. You as a person have a name, but for people to really understand who you are, they need more than just your name. Branding includes your logo, but doesn't stop there. If a logo is like a name, then your branding (also sometimes actually called an "identity") is all of who you are: your name, your face, your personality, your body language, your values, etc.
In the same way that just telling someone your name isn't enough to start a trusting relationship, a logo by itself isn't enough for you to really do business.
What do Branding
Packages include?
At a minimum, Theodorem.Design Branding Packages include a Logo, Alternate Logos, a Brand Guide, and a Business Card Design.
More often than not, businesses also need Branded Assets.
Do I need to
register/trademark my Logo?
Registering your logo as a trademark is a wise idea, to both protect your business and/or branding, and to show potential clients and customers that you're the real deal. The larger the scale or the higher your prices, the more important it will be for you to register your trademark at the Federal level. That said, there's a degree of protection provided by law based on your area and the amount of time you have been in business. For example, if your salon is called "A Cut Above," and you've been around for five years but never trademarked your business, you are protected from a competitor starting a new salon called "A Cut Above" in your area.
I have a lawyer I trust and recommend to all of my clients, for all Trademarking and Federal Registration.
